Mars, Titan Sketch

Hey Guys. This is the first of a series of pictures that I have sketched, "Rise of the Titans." He is Mars, the Roman God of War. I have other Gods and character sketches to come. |

Yep. The general idea is that you take a Greek or Roman God or Godess and match their characteristics with those of an animal. So, since Mars is the God of War, I chose a lion- the fiercest predator in the animal kingdom.

Although, you might want to take note that he was also the God of Agriculture, before having become the god of War.

Hey bloodstormaoa, yep, i finished the leaving and graduated from Second level with a C in art so smiles all round. ( got an A1 in English and an A2 in French but thats a different story!) Art is more of a hobby for me. I like to create my own ideas and express them in a visual style.

Hey Jackali. Mars is just the tip of the iceberg, mate! I have ideas for a lot of other Gods, from Saturn the God of Agriculture ,to Vulcan, the god of fire. Each gods image is based on the animal that it represents. Eg: Saturn/Cronus is based on an Ox.
