I've played the demo for about an hour and a half, ran around the first area getting into a few fights, haven't gone to either of the mission markers yet. It's all very good what I've seen so far, but I have a question. Are there any manual save points? I can't say I've noticed them if there are, although I might not have gone far enough into the demo. I know the game autosaves, but I'd prefer a manual option. They represent checkpoints in my mind when I play a Final Fantasy game, reaching a save point was always a moment to have a time out from the fighting, take a break and mess around with your team's stats. I haven't noticed the frequency with which the autosave kicks in either, I hope it's not too regular. So few games these days penalise people for dying when the autosave feature puts you right back in front of what it was that beat you.
