Default Nathan McCree composing 2018 Tomb Raider film score?

http://tombraiding.com/tomb-raider-c...g-reboot-film/

Not sure how legit this is as it's missing any source.

Edit: He is listed as the composer on the film's IMDb page but that doesn't mean anything either considering anyone can edit those.

This site is telling this news as if true, yet without any source to back it up. So,I'm going with taking this with a pinch of salt for now.

Nathan's name has been on the IMDB page for quite a while now, I believe even before the TR Suite was announced. Nathan has a habit of retweeting anything a fan tweets at him, including fans questioning him on his involvement on the film after seeing the IMDB page. This speculation is doing the rounds again and so sites are picking it up.

I figured. The article seems a little shady and unprofessional so I didn't really give it much thought but you never know if people somehow got ahold of some super secret inside information.

My guess is not; if WB/MGM had updated the IMDB page themselves, then that would be ready confirmation on their part and wouldn't necessitate the cryptic responses he's been giving to fans all this time.

I'm thinking that maybe he wants the gig, and is hoping the inquiries might catch the studio's attention.

Very likely.

I love the guy to bits but I highly doubt they'd hire a video game composer that hasn't done any AAA titles before and who's most famous for scoring a game that released in 1996. That's sadly not how the industry works.

i feel like it's just one of those rumours that are too good to be true. Roar Uthaug follows him on Twitter though so he does atleast acknowledge his work. I feel like they will get Alan Silverstri or James Newton Howard to do the music.

Howard seems pretty busy so I have a feeling we won't get him.
Alan Silvestri did Cradle of Life so I think it's likely they'll not choose him because of that (aka not wanting the new TR to get associated too much with the old perhaps?).
While I'd love to see McCree do the score I think due to Hollywood politics that's not likely to happen (Hollywood politics sucks). More realistically we can expect McCree to score one of the upcoming TR games or Lara Croft spinoff games I think.

He is -- I have his score of 2003's Peter Pan. Absolutely beautiful.
