I prefer Tomb Raider 1 over Anniversary by far. Anniversary has nothing over the original. In Anniversary, the levels are shorter than those in the original, the textures are duller, the atmosphere is weaker, the boss fights are more restricted, the music's blander... I could go on all day.

Even though I do play TR games from the start, I had more fun with TR:A than with original TR. Please, don't crucify me

I like TR1 better. TR Anniversary has beautiful graphics and lovely environments, but it's not as scary as I'd hoped, and too short.

TRI has many pluses, such as conceptuality, hard enemies and non-linear gameplay. But I chose Anniversary because of its inspirated graphics and Folmann's soundtracks.

TRA is an excellent game in its own right. It's short, but it's clever and challenging. As a remake of TR1, however, it's utterly awful. So much was taken out of the original game that it should be considered a sin. Atlantis is a mere shadow of its former self, and doesn't even deserve to be called Atlantis, which CD seemed to realise. The only levels that were truly remade well enough to match the greatness of their TR1 equivalents are Temple of Khamoon, Obelisk of Khamoon, Sanctuary of the Scion, St. Francis' Folly, Lost Valley, Coliseum and Tomb of Qualopec.

But it's still a good game nonetheless. TR1 >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> TRA

I like tr1 better but its ok becasue i never expected anniversary to be better. To be honest i dont expect any game to ever be better than how tr1 was for me.

Anniversary still kicked ass!

TR1 wins for me hands down, it feels much more like a Tomb Raider game to me and is alot more difficult to play. Sure Anniversary is a great game and fun, but can't be compared to a Classic, even if called a remake.

No!!! Not by a long shot, TRA is a radically changed version of TR1, TR1 I think is much better, TRA felt like it was rushed to me.
