Someone asked me how I get models and how I make them posable. I simply use Dusan's mesh importer and I modify it to import bones also.
You can download ImportMeshAsciiExtended.py here
This version import bones and for each mesh apply an 'armature' modifier.

There are some other features :
- remove double points for each mesh
- in a material: textures are automatically assign in "Map to" panel: the diffuse texture affect color material, bump texture affect the normals of the material, and lighmap texture affect the hardness of the material.
I don't know the corresponding to mask texture in Blender. If someone know?

In Blender, the file will appear as "MeshAsciiExt (*.mesh.ascii)"

WOW! Great work! That's another great find/build for the mesh-modding community!

wow, very cool, after 3ds Max we now have fully rigged Lara in blender too

btw, is it possible opposite - to export model from blender to .MeshAscii format in order to put some new rigged models in XnaLara ? (mighty mario_kart64n will be very happy to hear this is possible )
