Eidos resolves bug in Tomb Raider Underworld on Nintendo Wii
EIDOS RESOLVES RARE NINTENDO Wii BUG
Copyright 2008 www.tombraiderchronicles.com [ November 26th 2008 ] Eidos has released both PAL and NTSC fixes in the form of a gamesave which resolves an intermittent issue with Tomb Raider Underworld on the Nintendo Wii platform. It's worth noting that despite the ramblings of a few online journalists, few cases have been reported and the game can be completed normally. Customers who experience the bug in the Thailand segment of the game should download the gamesave to an SD card or restart their level. In all cases, this has resolved the issue and the game can be completed normally. Tomb Raider Underworld on Nintendo Wii includes a bevy of exclusive content including level design and environmental challenges designed to take advantage of the unique capabilities of the Wii Remote and Nunchuk, a multi-tool kit featuring a compressed air gun, acetylene torch, chisel and pliers, an active aim combat system and full camera control. Tomb Raider Underworld Nintendi Wii Patch PAL 1. Unzip tombraiderunderworld_wii_pal.zip 2. Place the contents of the unzipped folder onto an SD card. 3. Ensure the Wii is off and insert the SD Card into the Wii. 4. Boot up the Wii without the disc in. 5. Go to the Wii Options -> Select Save Data -> Select Wii -> Select SD Card. 6. Select the TR:Underworld file and then select the option copy to Wii memory. 7. After save is copied remove SD card and reboot the Wii. 8. Start the game and the last save (Save #4 that is bottom of the list). NTSC 1. Unzip tombraiderunderworld_wii_ntsc.zip 2. 8. Start the game and Load the Save. |

Just to emphasise it is really rare. I know a few (unlucky) guys here have experienced it (and I'm sorry about that ), but the game went through four separate QA departments (Eidos, Crystal D, Buzz Monkey and Nintendo) and the bug wasn't recreated. We've only had seven calls to Customer Services about it in the UK, and using a previous save or one of those that Eidos has provided will fix the issue.
If for some reason it doesn't please send me a PM so we can help. |
