Well the first time I ever played TR4 when I was on Desert Railroad I didn't know how to get inside that car. I even remember getting stuck in the sacred lake first visit because I was in a room with a mirror then I found the hole by accident then I got stuck in 2nd visit of great hypostyle hall because I didn't know you had to shoot a boulder but solved it accidentally I was only 9 when I first played that game and that was christmas 1999 so I didn't know much plus to make matters worse the walkthrough didn't come out til the new year so when I got to desert railroad I just used cheatcodes to skip the level and I even used level skip cheatcodes to beat the game since I was so lazy to do the game.

I always used walkthroughs the first time I played each TR, because I was scared to death, but I never cared for the secrets.

After the 3rd playthrough I was still missing a few secrets, I peaked in a walkthru just to make a list of how many secrets there are in each level, but not the exact locations, like in the previous games. So I would know where to look for the missing ones, but I still found them all by myself.

well you found a scrap in the end railway carriage? blackmoor. you help how find all the secrets of 70 pieces? Blue_light. secrets. puzzles. and so on. It is better pass than simply so. this called test! the one who can not pass without guidance this not for the professional. as the saying goes. this is the limit of fact! akci. pass the better then look in the manual! |

Like I said, I only used walkthroughs the first time to know what enemies to expect since I was really scared of them, after that I don't use guides unless I'm stuck for days, and try to find the most secrets I can, because why not, and I was curious to explore the areas I missed. I still don't really care for the secrets, and I play the game how I want, thank you very much.

Wolfeinsamer when you mean scrap do you mean opening? Eventually I found it but that was after I used cheatcodes already to skip the level the very first time I played the level back in late 1999.

I never used a walkthrough for TR4 (had no internet and didn't buy any magazine) - but I never found the nitros oxide in Cairo - I got through the level because of a bug. The amount of times I tried those jumps - heck I even made the secret in City of the Dead with no boost after a ridiculous number of attempts.
