I think it's too early yet to say that he won't finish the project. Effectively he said that he doesn't know if continuing developing his project and TR4 is a pretty big (if not the biggest) Tomb Raider game. But if The Lost Secret would find the right people to work with and he would have a lot of motivation I think that everything would be ok.
There were been other projects such as Anniversary Retold or The lost dominion (that is cancelled? I read some posts that said so) that will never be finished, but others made it, for example Mpgrill's wonderful Silent Hill that in the end it came out.

This looks quite promising! I have mixed feelings about the Unity engine, but I believe this could turn out to be something very cool! However, this means that, like other users here said, you have to work a lot in order to get many things right.

I say keep on working on it and release something new as soon as you can!!

Thank you very much . Of course .

But I'm thinking about migrating the project to Unreal Engine 4 ; Because it has so many capabilities that Unity doesn't have and Lara's mechanics could be made way easier in Unreal !

If you think you're up to the task and you think you know enough about UE4 to create this remake, then I'd say that's a wise choice personally.

Good luck with your project! TR4 is such a massive game, so I can't even imagine how much work will have to go into this, but it's also one of my favorites in the series, so I'm really looking forward to seeing what you create! You can do it!!

Looks good !

Are you gonna reuse the original level geometry or are you modeling everything from the ground up?
