My goldsmithing work
Hello, people!
3 years ago I made the decision to study as a metal + goldsmith, which were always very close to my heart not only because it's my father's profession as well, but I've been fascinated by artifacts and jewellery of power in stories such as in Tolkien's world, games like World of Warcraft and, of course, even Tomb Raider. After waking up at 4 a.m. nearly every day and travelling 2,30 hours to school for 3 years, I am now only 2 weeks away from my professional exam. Needless to say I am both exhausted and nervous... But I've been preparing my portfolio and I thought some of you might be interested in seeing this form of art. The work you see below is either silver or made from brass. Despite the profession's name, we don't really touch gold only after we finish school, simply because it's too precious to waste. I've only made a couple of simple engagement rings out of gold, but I didn't think it was worth showing. Hope you like the rest! Some of these have a specific inspiration/story behind them. The last workpiece was my exam project. It is an opening pendant with 3 pieces of rings, each fitting perfectly inside the body of pendant itself. This becomes a little more interesting when you insert the ring, because a tiny built-in LED lights up, giving the ring's resin part a faint glow. I am immensely interested in the universe and wanted to create something that is quite literally a tiny universe locked in, worn close to your heart. I named it the 'Nebula Collection'. Also, I just realised that during these years I've never made anything TR related. Whoops. There's an idea for the next project... |

Ew, that is a long commute.
These look so flawless though. The edges are so smooth, the surfaces are so soft, they almost liike digital. That's how sleek they are. Those wooden carvings are so cute. Also, the Nebula collection is such a cool idea. You should do something with the Meteorite artifacts. |

Oh -- oh, wow. What a beautiful collection you have there. Absolutely stunning work...
I'd also be interested in buying from you, seriously, if you have pieces "left over", so to speak. |
