One of the best I've played
I love this game. It's just as fun as TR1, IMO. And the graphics are nice! But holy crap, that t-rex part is CRAZY HARD.
What do you guys think? |

I don't think the T-Rex part is all that hard, you just have to set it up right at the start so Lara doesn't get flailed right away. Once you have the T-Rex enraged and Lara is bouncing it into walls using the adrenaline dodge it's easy enough to get it running into the spikes which finish it off quickly.
I think the hardest part of the game is the ascending wall run in the great pyramid. I can't count the number of times I've had Lara fall to her death because the ****ing camera angle changes slightly and she jumps or grabs wrong... And the adrenaline dodge is not a good combat idea either, IMHO. Still, I agree for the most part it's a pretty good game, and the levels themselves are absolutely gorgeous in regards to artwork, detail, etc. Last edited by Sir Launcelot; 11-09-15 at 06:59. |

It's the most boring Tomb Raider game I have ever played. The long, dull and pretty empty corridors, the dumb down puzzles and hand holding all the way through.
No, it's one of the worst Tomb Raider's in the franchise. As for the T-Rex part, I found that pretty easy. |

Anniversary is a good game . Though the overuse of long eventless endless corridors to connect different parts of the levels , the washed out colors , Lara's character and some animations do annoy me a lot , but it really has its moments and solid points like The architecture , the atmosphere , the traps , the diverse puzzles which are a big improvement over the original and the boss fights . Still not in my top 3 , I have it along side the original at 6# or 7# I guess |

I'll give you the architecture, perhaps the atmosphere in some parts of the game but the traps are awful and repetitive. |

Anniversary is probably my least favourite in the series. It was a chore playing through it the first time, any subsequent playthroughs would be torture for me.
Boring, lifeless colours, long repeating corridors, streamlined areas, total removal of areas, the adrenalin dodge. It's just not a good remake, or even a good game IMO. :/ |

Well, I would say I enjoyed it by and large, though there are parts which are not good. The adrenaline dodge has to be about the worst thing I have ever seen put into a game as a feature of combat play. Could you see trying to do something like that in Quake? I haven't played Underworld yet, but I hope Riley Cooper smartened up a bit between TRA and the making of Underworld.
RE: the colors, I thought that Peru was ok, Greece could have been sharper, Egypt was definitely dull, and Lost Island... Hmmm, fantasy land, but ok, I guess. |

Anniversary can't touch TR1, but it's still an amazing game in its own right.
It walks all over Legend and Underworld. |
