my car is a 98 black ford fiesta si, formerly owned by my sister. its my first and current car... but unfortunately i cant drive it because i dont have a license... yet!
zoom zoom! oh and hatchbacks are definately the way to go! cheaper and often look better! (focus hatchback is soooo much better than the saloon model!) but a ford puma... nah! it all depends on how much money you have to spend... |

My first car was a light blue, 1972 Plymouth Barracuda, like the one in the picture here. It was great for a HS kid.
It had been hard for me to drive, but lately I am improving and driving is possible. I have owned about 12 cars in my life, the latest is a 2007 Toyota Prius, driftwood pearl color. I love this car, it always surprises me when it needs gas. Last edited by Eddie Haskell; 27-09-07 at 16:17. |

Mine is an Alfa Romeo 146, it used to be my father's car before this (technically, it still is, but he has a newer one now. However, he is still the one who pays insurance, very convenient). In theory, a smaller car would have worked just as well for me, but since this one was readily available, I'm not complaining. It can drive fast, too, and carry lots of stuff, so all is well.

Puma: good choice but as a first car... not sure. How much should you spend? As much as you can. Insurance? Astronomical! The smaller and slower the car the cheaper the insurance basically. Insurance companies do not like 17 year olds. Someone I know was quoted £1000+ which was a good deal more than the car was worth. Ouch. No pics exist of my first car! (thank goodness.) Hatchbacks are great! I wouldn't drive anything else. |

I love hatch backs.
I don't actually have my drivers license, I am still a 'learner' so I can't get my actual license till June here where I live... But my first car that I will have (it currently resides beside my house with no insurance and such...) is a 1993 Geo Tracker! We've had it forever! We use to drive it all the time till my mom got a new car and now it is being kept for me! But, it is so cheap on gas and such, and we have never had any mechanical problems with it; so therefore it's really grreeeat. |
