Default Editor and Nvidia GeForce9800

Hi! Dunno if this topicc is better related to NGLE section
btw the point is that yesterday i turned from an Nvidia geforce7600 to a 9800, with the result that the 3d view of the editor (i use ngle) is now veery slow. This slowness increases when objs are added and makes the view almost blocked with face edit activated and totally blocked with lighting button activated.
I tried to decrease hardware acceleration, to update nvidia drivers to latest, but nothing changes :/
I don't think that none of the LDs around has a modern videocard, but i need to know if this happens to other people too O.ò
With "hide objects" activated, the situation is almost fixed, but it makes disappear lights too :/

ps. navigation with keyboard buttons or mouse patch makes no difference :/

Try to run it in compatibility mode and set it as windows 98. You might have problems saving projects but atleast for me it helped a bit. (geforce 8600gt here)

I hope this helps.

(when saving in 98 mode you need to copy your previous project then paste it and rename it (also makes backup this way, hehe) and then save on to it)

Have you got the latest update of TRNG? (that's if you use it, of course)
My guess is that you probably don't have the TombNextGeneration.dll in the root folder. Have you checked recently?

I also have a GeForce9800 in my new computer and the NGLE is actually a bit faster on it than on my old TRLE computer which has a GeForce4200Ti.
To be honest I think it has more to do with the processor power than the graphicscard. And as far as I know a GeForce9800 uses more CPU power than an older graphicscard.
(I could be wrong about the CPU playing a big part though... I'm not all that much into the tech stuff part of a computer and the NGLE... )

NGLE does get incredibly slow when adding objects to a room, no matter what computer you are running it on.
Don't know why that is.
You can try and change some settings in the NGLE.

Titak you are very correct about this. I had the same problem from switching from an Nvidia 7800GT to 9500GT. I deleted the settings file that was in the LE folder, and NGLE worked fine for me. Make sure your processor can handle that graphics card also

Well on my old computer I had the Geforce 7600 and it ran the same, now on my new computer I have the Geforce 9800 1 GB and it still runs the same, I have no problems, except sometimes chunks of the editor disappear, but it's not that bad.
