Hi,

Problem is that the game wont install at all. It gets to stage where it Lara says 'lets go adventuring' and then the screen freezes and wont do anything! Dodgy disc or common problem? Please let me know!

People with xp get all sorts of problems with it being an old dos game. You want to update your direct x and your drivers if you have an Intel Graphics card this probably wont solve the problem. Shut down any antiviruses while installing and playing it. Change your desktop colour settings to 16 bit.

Jacker...chances are very good that it'll work on XP if you have a fairly new computer. You can try the installer wizard mentioned above, or if that doesn't work I can guide you through the process manually. The trick is to run it from a maximized command prompt window while running a DOS sound driver called VDMSound, which is a free download. I found this worked well and gave me decent graphics. So let me know if the installer doesn't work for you.

Jacker...It sounds like Paul Gardiner's installer (he's the author of Glidos and a good guy too) is the way to go as a first try. Why don't you

1. update Direct X
2. go to the Glidos site here and try Paul's installer
3. and then if the installer doesn't work you can let me know and I'll e-mail you directions.
