How did you get that?

Id love to find some of the statues and what not. Those are super duper hard to source.

Recompile the full texture from the sections Core cut out, reverse image search on google, check the rest of the site to see if there are more.

I've found a few on some foreign sites, and Symsi told me that a lot of Cores textures were just stock ones that came with the version of 3D Studio they were using around 1993-6. Some have had some harsh recolours, the TR2 Manor wood floor used to be caramel coloured before it was cut and lightened to a more birch tone.

I found the Coastal Village pebbles texture as well.

I've brought this up in the section a few times but as far as I know there has been little interest in locating the original source textures for the classics. TR1-3 were very stock texture heavy.

Little interest??? I would love to see more!!! This is perfect for texture remastering. Your idea is actually genius, I should try this too.

I'd love to find the source of the mansion textures.

What about the 3D Studio versions, has anyone been able to get their hands on them? The software was always expensive, so I can imagine such older versions are now obscure...

Again, the idea about a repo for TR resources is coming back like a boomerang. Titak already made a section for them here, but I'm still thinking about something that could be updated easily.

I remember sharing 3D Studio 4 back in the day, but it didn't have any textures at all. I think I have more versions of 3ds max, but these days they should be easily available on abandonware sites.

I was honestly just doing everything by hand, but getting the originals are super handy.

Here's another update to show how everything is coming along. I've decided to recreate a room to display them. I did make some slight changes to the textures - the original uses pipes, which looked strange as pipes would often lead to nowhere. Here, I'm using vents. Vents allow for more flexibility and are great for capping off the darker gray textures shown below. With 3D vents, it would allow for more flexibility and dynamic design work.

They would also look like pipes.

Animated monitors will be fun.

Lots an lots of arrows types/effects!

I like when Lara's weapons can be used as tools. I made a while ago for puzzles.

Ice arrows are used to freeze targets and remove flames.

Bolt arrows are used to strike metal objects for puzzles that require electricity, and stun enemies.

Fire arrows are used to set things aflame at a distance.

Seconded! I'd love to see a thread devoted to each classic game with the original source for the textures identified!

There’s recently been a (dare I say) surge of interest in the matter: http://www.tombraiderforums.com/show...30#post7812830 (continues on the following page).

That is amazing!!!!

Will you reveal how it is done?
Because I sure am interesting in such possibilities for the crossbow because that's what Lara is going to use in the Avalon level(s) of MoA part 2.
The fire arrows for example would be great.
But also the more traditional poison arrows. Would be cool to add a bit of mist/fog to the arrow, especially when it hits an enemy.

Or some special arrow that won't kill, but just stun an enemy for a while.
So kinda like the Bolt Arrow you have.

Wow
I love it!
Will you reveal how you have done it?
