Why not "Apex of the Tomb Raider" or something like that?
Does Lara have to retreat into the shadows immediately after rising a litttle bit?
Is she going to become a shadow of her former self?
It doesn't sound flattering to me...

But I guess CD maybe want it to sound edgy.

I get an infiltration vibe from the title. As in she has to infiltrate the Vatican and be a shadow.

So much bitchiness in this thread, it's kinda unecessary tbh

I don't think they will go with a 'x' of the Tomb Raider again. I don't think it would fit with the series' progression. Most things put that way would sound like some sort of downfall and Lara's on an upward trajectory in my opinion.

Tomb Raider: Subtitle. Seems like it would be the logical fit imo.

Hmmm, I dont get that vibe personally. Shadow of the Tomb Raider doesn't feel like Lara being a shadow; it feels like something following her really or her casting a shadow on something which gives me negative connotations. I dunno, I just don't like it really.

Or maybe it's shadow as in Lara is standing in the shadow of her father.

To me it just seems that "Shadow" clashes with the "Rise" in the previous title.
Like it means downfall.
Lara was put into many ugly, perilous and stealthy situations in Rise and it wasn't called "Darkness of the Tomb Raider". The title still implied personal growth and positivity.
So why would CD do a 180 degrees in this regard?

That's exactly what I got from it too; glad I'm not the only one

I'm curious to know how that wouldn't fit. X of the Tomb Raider is the logical evolution in the reboot universe. Tomb Raider: X is not. How is that more logical? Unless by logical you mean it's similar to the other TR entries before the reboot.

I already explained how I feel it wouldn't fit right below where I said it wouldn't fit Plus, I'll refer back to Shirley_Mason's post cause I feel he/she put the point better than I did.

That picture looks fake to me. Display shouldn't be blurry like that. It looks digitally blurred.
