Re-reading the script I'm so glad everything seems much more coherent with the rewrites. It really is sort of simplified in that fact that Lara's father already knows of Trinity and Mathias and that he is telling her to stop them from opening the Tomb.

The ending could make for a great sort of creepy action sequence with the zombie type creatures I just hope they keep that magical vibe to them because it'd be great to explore more of that in subsequent films.

Im just glad that you guys are suggesting a big difference between the leaked script, and the actual movie were getting...

I didnt read it, but some significant things were posted back on day one... Im happy to think that were all back on the same page, not knowing what to expect... Thats how one should go into a movie.

People were being so negative about it... now that negativity has kind of been neutralized... Plus, like I said before, a script is not the smae thing as a movie... If we read the script for Forrest Gump, before seeing it... we probably would have all thought it was going to be the dumbest movie ever made....

The largest change is probably Yamati, in the script the boat is attacked by Mathias and Trinity mercs who bind her hands and capsize the boat with the current Lara washes up on the island with the mercs and the shoot out and chase sequences begin later they make an encampment.

Now in the final version the boat is capsized by a storm, Lara is knocked out by a Merc and then obviously awakens with her hands tied up and brought to Mathias who is already in his camp. Much the same as the events of the game.

In the "becoming Lara" video, you can clearly see Lara and Lu, weapons ready, escorting a group of unarmed people. Whether theyre "friendly locals", or whatever... from what Ive heard, that element wasnt in the script either...

Seems like these people are working at the dig site, perhaps they're captured and forced to work.

I think Lara could release the prisoners. Like Indiana Jones with the kids in Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom

On the other hand

I thought this man was Lara's father. But now in the making off I see that it is the actor who appeared as "Alex Ren" in IMBD. I believe that being his first murder. Also something new too. Like this night fight, it looks really good

I hope they give Lu Ren more to do in the film before he is captured. I hated the way they make his character out to be really important but then basically write him out of the film once he is captured on Yamati and shift the focus to Lara and her father. It even makes the tomb and his kidnapping feel like an after thought hopefully they polish that up, some simple scenes between Mathias and Lu's point of view would be probably solve that issue.

Also noticed another slight difference to the Hong Kong sequence, before Lara is chased by te teenagers she actually stops and asks them for directions. We can see this in the Behind the Scenes feature.

Why do they chase her?

With the latest news that Alastair Siddons has done some work on the script I'm quite excited because now we don't know what could have changed.
