Default Blender to XNALara Help

I know it's been asked a million times, but I can't find any useful information by googling my problem, which never used to be a problem for me.

Basically, I'm having a go at trying to port a static scenery to XPS. I've tried saving it as an .obj but XPS won't open it. My next big idea was to use the export script to try and export it as a mesh and see if XPS will accept it that way. The only problem is, I have no idea how to run the script. The only way I've found to do so is to go to File > Run Python Script, but I do not have that option. I also do not have the .mesh options under import or export, even though I've downloaded the scripts and put them in the scripts folder.

I'm banging my head against the wall here trying to figure this out. Someone, please - explain it like I'm 5.
