The Religious Symbolism Regarding Trinity and the Reboot Villains
Firstly, apologies if this has been posted.
Secondly, I was never the best as history or religious studies so much may have escaped me. Thirdly, I've not yet finished The Ten Thousand Immortals so forgive me if I've missed something from that. Anyway! One thing I've been thinking about a lot recently is Trinity and why it's called so. When we look at The Holy Trinity we have the Father, The Son and The Holy Ghost. In the 2013 where Trinity is mentioned, the villain is referred to as "Father" Mathias. In Rise of the Tomb Raider I'm pretty sure everyone saw the prophet and was like "Oh hai, Jesus" and avoiding spoilers, we all know how that turned out. The Prophet could be the Son as he resembles Jesus, or The Holy Ghost, as he is the Immortal Prophet. So we have The Holy Trinity. 1. The Father (Mathias) 2. The Son (??? or the Prophet) 3. The Holy Ghost (??? or The Prophet) Am I reading too much into this or do you think Crystal Dynamics could be leading into something big? It was mentioned in a document in Rise that Trinity had links to the Vatican, so I think they must be. Would be very interested in theories. |

Obviously they're going to tie this into the Assassin's Creed series and turn Lara into an Assassin against the evil Templars!
