I don't think they'd dare pull an exclusivity deal again, after people dragged them by their ears the last time
I'm so bored though, I want more information |

They're not exactly the same mistakes but it's still weird. I don't understand what kind of marketing strategy this has been at all. It's like they're trying to challenge themselves to **** it up and see if it still sells.

Last year some of y’all complained about seeing too much. This time we are getting little by little and it’s not enough. What do y’all want lol?

"Marketing" for it was a disaster, and Shadow is not much better. Like i said before it looks like it all went into these "fan" events and "behind the closed door". What a disaster. Few weeks before the release we have one CGI trailer and one ****ty looking "gameplay" trailer. |

Ikr? What were they thinking? I really hope they can turn this around, I am really scared Shadow might not do good because it failed to make people interested.

Rise spoiled too much, even though they weren't really promoting the game like they wanted to sell it. Maybe that was the compromise: they get the money for development from MS, but they keep it low key so they can contain the outrage from spreading as much as possible. Some people might just assume it's coming to PS4 and PC (if they somehow avoided the deal announcement), but they can't advertise it too much because it would be apparent there's no mention of PS4/PC (though I can't recall if advertising during that time included PS4/PC logos on promotional materials)> Shadow just showed us stuff we could already do in Rise or LAU or any other cover-based third person game, as if we're supposed to be impressed. That and they tell more than they show, in terms of mechanics and new features. But there's lots of posters and advertisements, but it's just the same cover image over and over with the same stupid phrase ad nauseam, so it's like...you wasted your biggest event for promoting the game (E3) on crap that people had already seen behind closed doors and stuff that didn't even properly give a taste of what the game is doing that the previous ones didn't? |

I'm happy ^.^ I've seen as much as I needed to.
The CGI trailer was crap, but I loved the gameplay trailer. I don't need anything else spoiled for me. I'm going to go in blind! Just like with the original game. My friend handed it to me and said "You get to shoot wolves in the face!" I'm so excited to go into the game knowing nothing! |
