Default The Initiative is partnering with Crystal Dynamics to develop Perfect Dark

TheInitiative tweet:

Quote:
Perfect Dark update! We are partnering with Crystal Dynamics, the world class team behind character-driven games such as Tomb Raider, to bring this first-person spy thriller to a new generation.

The teams couldn’t pass up a chance to work together. We’re still early in development, but incredibly excited to use this unique opportunity to deliver on the vision for Perfect Dark!
And Crystal Dynamics' reply:

Quote:
We couldn’t be more excited to join forces with @TheInitiative to bring Perfect Dark to a new generation of gamers! We thrive on reimagining epic heroes and can’t wait to realize this first-person spy thriller together.

We’re thrilled to add Perfect Dark to our development efforts alongside Marvel’s Avengers and Tomb Raider.

I don't like the fact that Crystal is working with Xbox again.
Why do they even need Crystal, they own a lot of studios

But most of MS studios are indie, and Bethesda has their hands filled.

I wonder if this could open the door for a future Crystal Dynamics acquisition by MS. I doubt it, since CD owns the second most selling franchise of SE's property.

Crystal has three studios, and TR is usually outsourced to other companies (Virtuos) and also with help from Eidos, so I don't think this agreement will affect TR dev

Crystal is only working on the tech side of things tho.
And Joanna always had daddy issues. They predated our dear Lara's parental issues as well lol

This. Hero reimagining, or storyline direction is not decided by Crystal at all, obviously
