Default My Way

Okay, here's something I just thought you'd find interesting.

Since this is my first time to play TR1, I like to share this with you^^ I actually played every TR except this one and the add-ons XD
Every day I'll post my comments, opinions and various stuff about this so far great game (and I say that even though I only played two games XD) Kinda like a diary...

So, let's see...
DAY 1:

After fixing all this mess with sound and that stuff, I finally started playing TR1. After all these years... First two levels:

Caves:

It pretty much went really smoothly in gameplay since there weren't many strong enemies. Except that bear, but I somehow couldn't shoot it from the above, so I just avoided it cuz I was too scared XD But, shame really, I didn't get any secrets.

Level Grade - 6/10 - no puzzles or enemies, but really fun.

City of Vilcabamba:

I had some troubles on this one, actually. Expecially with bears. I remember the first bear. I climbed onto the ledge to collect medipack, jumped down, when it suddenly attacked me I fell off the chair XD
Later, at those three gates, I died actually 3 times <_< I fell down from the high ledge. ^^;;
But, those things don't really bother me, actually, that kind of stuff is the thing that makes TR a great game

Grade: 8/10 - some puzzles, nice location... real fun! ^^

More to come soon^^ Don't forget to post your comments!

City Of Vilacamba was a little tricky eh?

I was at the hostpital first time I played that level, the bear was very hard for me too!

I see your liking the game pretty well! Good luck!

And welcome to the forum!

Thanks!
Now, moving on:

Lost Valley:

Now, THIS is a what I call a level! Pretty long, powerful enemies and REALLY tricky... All those raptors coming from the least expected places make this level really intense. Not to mention the great Tyrano! It wasn't really hard actually, but still XD
I had some troubles at finding the third cog. Took me an eternity to notice that I can climb on that ledge beside the pool. After that, everything went okay

Grade: 9/10 - good enemies, good location, good everything but, something was missing... I can't tell what, but... Meh, I dunno...

I look forward to The Tomb of Qualopec, it's one of my all time fave levels. Especially on PS when the music is right

Ooo, that's the next one... Hmm... but, right music? What do you mean, isn't it the same?

Okay, here it is:

Tomb of Qualopec:

The best level yet Incredible textures, perfectly balanced enemies...Reeeally good! But once again, enemies were freaking me out with their jumping out in front of me XD

Grade: 9/10 - excellent level, but too short for it's greatness...

Now thats where your wrong, the level was big enough IMO.
The level didn't have a glitch out of place, the raptor that came after the 2 big blocks puzzle did freak me out! It was a perfect level.

Maybe it's just me then... Since that's probably the style of TR1... Cuz, if I recall correctly, TR2-> had much longer levels... But, since I plan on playing all TR-s in order once again, I'll see that for myself^^
