Talking Hideo Kojima - DEATH STRANDING - PS4

Hideo Kojima has unveiled his new game, Death Stranding on PS4.

This was revealed at the first day of the Sony conference at E3.

It features Norman Reedus and looks absolutely phenomenal. After the amazing Metal Gear series and the superb P.T, it will be interesting how this game turns out.

HQ Version - Thanks Hyper_Crazy

Not much is known about the gameplay at this point, but the announcement trailer above is enough to get me hooked!!

I hope this is basically what P.T. is all about. Seems weird enough.

It's Hideo Kojima, of course I'm interested! And seeing Norman Reedus again committed to this is great.

Anyone else hoping the camera would move a little further down? No, just me? Ok.

Interesting, I will admit it has me wondering about pretty much everything I've just witnessed.

Looks interesting, but I wonder if the frame rate will stay that bad

Edit: never mind, it's just the embedded video that has the bad fps for me

It was quite a sexy teaser, but I sure as hell don't get what it's about Should we expect survival horror?

I can't help but think they're jumping the gun with this; just like Konami did with PT. Releasing a teaser for a new IP that probably isn't even into full blown development yet. Konami admitted that Silents Hills was in the embryonic stages when the PT teaser released, in other words development was in ridiculously early stages, and look how that turned out. They should have a working model of the game before announcing it cause it only gets people excited only for it to be cancelled somewhere down the line.

I believe they described it as an action adventure game, drawing comparison with the likes of Uncharted.

The youtube comments are already full of different theories, one of them saying this whole trailer is symbolic to Kojima's relatioship and experiences with Konami, and I could totally see that being true. Also, apparently the Japanese name of the game translates into "Island of One".

My impression is that the trailer indeed doesn't necessarily represent much of anything of the game itself, BUT it could very well be an open-world exploration game set on some desolate island, maaaaaaaybe on a planet other than Earth? I would really dig that, actually.
