Question What could this be for

I was just wondering if there's any beta document or something that says
what the "non-triggered" switch at Le Serpent Rouge was supposed to be for

If I remember right, that unlocks a ladder trapdoor...? I need to replay that section again.

I like to think it turned on the light puzzle, so you know which one is broken.

Having just replayed the section again, you are correct that it is non-triggerable. I do not know what it would've done. I'll check some of the beta docs and see if there's any clues there.

@Slayer: I think that puzzle was simply the switch on the ground floor that turned on the entire lights mechanism with the music. Unless you might say there were two light mechanisms in which case yes it might've been that.

Otherwise, it may have been a lock for the door it was next to, as it doesn't open until you get the box.

I remember I had the same question too some time ago when I played the game. I think it depends on if the game is patched or unpatched if the hand icon appears here or if she can pull the switch on the PC release or something like that, or does not it? It looks like it is for something electrically-powered. Maybe it would have turned the power in the control room on so the other 2 switches would work? Maybe nakamichi680 or sasho648 could figure out what the trigger could be for?

That switch when used on the PS2 version crashes the game meaning you have to turn the PS2 of and on again
