Heck they could've even recreated the cover of the first game.

Or they could've shown specific moments from the movie, like Lara about to jump from the plane wing on top of the waterfall or Lara jumping into the water from the boat with Yamatai in the background.
This SO much. None of the posters really show anything. They are literally vogue magazine covers. The game arts show Lara in her environment, not staring at the camera, doing SOMETHING like climbing, tying up her arm, exploring a cave... Such a waste.

Also, that blueprint of Yamatai is the same as the one from the game but redesigned.

What was the image with her carrying the jug from?

You cant blame them for having a flat empty release in the US i guess since no one went to see the movie...sad but makes sense.

It's from one of the challenge tombs.

I wouldn't be surprised if it had an effect on the ticket sales. The general audience doesn't care about Lara. Having her character alone wouldn't be enough of a selling point.

They should have really sold the survivor aspect of the movie. Posters of her alone, traversing the island would have attra ted a wider audience.

Why do you care?

You'll pirate it anyway.

No, America get their films first, then UK/Ireland and rest of Europe gets them a month later
