I'm going crazy here myself. Olivia Wilde's name still shows up when I type "Tomb Raider" on IMDB. Is that a mistake or a revealing one by accident? I love her but I think other women can do better. I wouldn't mind if it was her though.

Very very very excited... Just been offered a job!!!! Eeeeek!!!

Probably nothing but we do know she wants the role.
I would rather have . . .someone else , I mean she has the physicality but she doesn't really have the looks or the right accent , despite the fact that she is British .
She could be the new voice actress for the game otherwise ... but man I really wonder what she's talking about!

EDIT:

I tried to sync Karl's tweets with the time Allison tweeted about her "exciting" tomb raider news. Karl tweeted at the 16th of October, which should have taken place on the 17th the next day while Allison tweeted on the 21st. Of course, there's a timezone stretch and it took place in L.A. so I can't really say if it's her but the dates are awfully close ...

And interestingly enough, someone asked Karl if she's English. He replied back: " ......of course she is dummy!"

I rather have Allison playing Lara in the movies then being the voice in the game. I also don't wanna see who the voice is of the new Lara (game) so it's a personal issue XD

This article on Tomb Raider Chronicle's FB says that Olivia Wild said that she's staring as Lara in the new film based on the new Tomb Raider game.

I'll shove it into google translate right now.

Exclusive: Olivia Wilde is the new Lara Croft

Actress Olivia Wilde ('Tron Legacy', 'Cowboys and Aliens') confirmed he will star in the new movie based on the number of games 'Tomb Raider'.

In an interview Jani Nazareth, the Hollywood Reporter, the actress revealed a big fan of the character, and be happy to live it on the big screen.

Wilde achieved fame by living to 13 on the show 'House'. The actress is the only confirmed cast so far.

The director will be Mark Fergus, writer of 'Iron Man' and 'Cowboys & Alliens'. As a director, the curriculum is just 'First Snow' (2006), starring Guy Pearce.

Fergus scripted next to Hawk Ostby, also of 'Iron Man'.

The film is in development phase of the roadmap.

The roadmap aims to put "Lara Croft in the level of Ellen Ripley and Sarah Connor, the heroines of the film."

Graham King and Tim Hedington ('Rango', 'The Tourist') produce.

The first two films together generated about 400 million worldwide, which has prompted the company to try again to put the heroine in the film heritage of the Internet.

The film will be released in 2013.

The Chronicles FB/tweet reported that that is what article headline said, they are reporting the news. The actually site had no proof, the extremely brief interview by some Brazilian reporter not associated with Hollywood Reporter mentioned nothing about Tomb Raider. It was a false story. And we can expect a few more of them attempting to cash in on the Tomb Raider fame.
