Is the Northern Legends BtB pack available for download? I don't see it on Laraslevelbase or TRSearch.

Ah okay thank you. I was thinking I had to assign the key to the trigger as well just in case I have multiple keys. I'm using Tomb Editor. TRNG program hurts my eyes on my screen. Nice converter. I'm still getting a crash when I run the game.

@OnlyClassic: TRNG can be used on TombEditor too, just change the game mode in setting of the program
Also about the crash, make sure is: -Key for Keyhole -Trigger for door |

I have a question about texture limits for both a level's TGA and the object texture pages when compiling a wad in WadMerger.
1. What is a good "target" number of pixels length for a TGA built in TBuilder to keep a level running smoothly? example: TGAs tend to be 256 px wide. In TBuilder, the maximum number of pixels length is 8192, but presumably fewer than that is better. What's optimum? 2. What is a good "target" number of texture pages for a wad compiled with WadMerger to keep a level running smoothly? example: At the end of creating a new wad, WadMerger reports the number of texture pages used by the new wad. So far, most levels I've made have ~28 pages, but I wondered how many is recommended as a maximum before there might be problems? |

as for the tga you can reach the limit size no problem. at least i get happy to reach the limit because it means i can finally stop doing those hundreds of transitions and i can finally rest in peace
my textures are usually 128x128 unless im doing an old school level which is obv 64x64 |

One can't really say what's the maximum, other than the max TGA size of 256 x 16384.
(Yes, NGLE can handle that size even though TBuilder might not be? ) So one can't say what's recommended either. Both texturesets are working together. I have levels with more textures but less pages than other levels which have less textures but on more pages. Total amount of pages that is: TGA and WAD textures combined. At one level I had a total 104 pages which made the level run fine, but at 105 pages, NG_tomb2pc.exe crashed. Not sure if that 105 pages is a limit though. It might also depend on other stuff, like the amount of sounds assigned to the wad, the total amount of animation frames (I once had to delete long cutscene animations and turn the cutscene into a seperate level because having all those added to the wad crashed the level.), the roomgeometry and the amount of textures it uses (triangles are counted as seperate textures as far as I know. Tail info's?), the... Last edited by Titak; 11-06-18 at 19:53. |

I find it funny how you guys/gals are struggling with textures having a max of 256x16384, while i'm here wanting to pull my hair out with only 256x2304
