I think the reboot was great.
The only think I'd change was to have Lara and Sam have sex |

I'd definitely have stayed closer to the original Core biography.
- Plane crash in the Himalayas at the age of 21. - More focus on exploration and puzzles, less focus on gunfights. More focus on survival, the environment itself being a deadly challenge to overcome. - A stronger feeling of isolation (more animal enemies rather than humans). I truly wanna feel like having crashed in a remote place deep in the Himalayas. - Lara having a personality closer to classic Lara. Those are the things I can think about right now. |

The archaeological expedition and the shipwreck are more interesting to me than the airplane accident, to be honest.
I think it would be less... forced if the trip wasn't Lara's first, though. It would be nice if she was still an inexperienced archaeologist but this was her third or fourth trip, but the first where something goes wrong and there's action. She wouldn't be such an unlucky girl to have everything going to **** in her first expedition (which helps a lot in the context, since everything that happens to her is just so bad and terrible it becomes ridiculous.) And then in a basecamp she could say something like "I went to expeditions before and I enjoyed them, but this one is so much more exciting/interesting/keeps me on my toes" to show that not only she loves history and myths, but she also loves the adventure. |

But I would the same amount of abilities as in Underworld (obviously not the same quality though)... Or far more. I want it limitless. Also my biggest problem with the reboot era is to not allow the player to do such things like crawling, a proper swimming, to light the glow stick etc... Set the player freeeeeeee |

I thought the reboot was going to be:
-(Ironically) more tombs as in this giant Japanese Tombs and Palaces -(I still never know about game graphics ) CGI model from turning point trailer as in-game model -Realism at its finest, real bandages, wounds that affect you -Cursed Island with weird and dangerous weather and sunsets -Danger everywhere, gruesome gore everywhere -Scary freakishly creepy caverns with skulls and stuff, and people who trap you in there :/ So most of these things except the gore and the creepy caverns, Longer game with more Tombs and Palaces, exploration based and better story. 2013's not bad, its quite lovely, I love gameplay but it lacks some things which would have made it better |

Where do I begin?
First, I would write Lara's character far closer to the original. There would be none of this cheering herself on alternating with sulking because folks are mean to her. Second, I think I would have scrapped the idea that she was on an expedition at all. Why not have her be on a pleasure cruise gone very, very wrong. Lost in a storm, wrecked on a mysterious island. She might have had "friends" on the boat with her, but I'd be just as happy if they died. If they did survive, I would use the time to juxtapose Lara's stoicism with their hysteria. I would have had an ex-special forces guy as a passenger, and he and Lara would become friends and do things together. We'd actually see Lara learn something, a new skill, some weapons pointers, rather than have her be Automatically Awesome At Everything. She would have known better than to dump her only possibly useful gear into the mud. She would have known better than to hollar "SAAAAAM!" and give away her position. She would have looked at the ridiculous solution CD had to the airplane prison puzzle and said, "Blowing up **** underground is incredibly stupid. I'll just use my gun to shoot the lock off and send my friends a rope with an arrow and they can shimmy down." Lara wouldn't waste her time or her energy (finally!) screaming at her enemies. Lara would find the mystery far more interesting than getting off the island. Lara would have made actual discoveries that assisted in their getting off the island rather than going where everyone else has already been and stopping Himiko accidentally. Oh, and less ridiculously stupid gun battles. |

BTW I've just realised how awesome would have been to have Titak's Himalayan Mysteries as the reboot xDDD
