Tomb Raider: The Last Revelation Modding, Costumes & Texturing - Discussion.
NOTES
Why was this thread created? No other threads existed for games from TR1-TR5. Also, this is a nice home for collections of TRIV mods. User Created Mods Mod collection by sackboy123 - https://www.youtube.com/playlist?lis...Oe9STvJ0TzmlUF AOD Next Gen by Acacea. (Download the demo here, you will need TRLE for this)- http://www.mediafire.com/download/59..._by_Acacea.rar Tomb Raider: The Last Revelation HD by annl - http://www.*****************/community...elationhd.html Tomb Raider Mod Launcher by jack9267 (also supports Chronicles, the Times, and Level Editor) - http://www.*****************/community...dlauncher.html Tomb Raider: The Last Revelation Improved Strap Mod - http://www.*****************/community...dstrapmod.html Acacea's Costume Collection by (me, Acacea) - http://www.*****************/community...amoddings.html Sackboy123's TRII Lara Mod - http://*****************/community_tr4classicmod.html TUTORIAL Adding Outfits to TR4 1. Download WADMerger and open it. 2. On the left side, press open WAD. 3. If WADMerger doesn't automatically redirect you, follow the path below. (Results may vary) (Find your Tomb Raider Level Editor folder.) Tomb Raider Level Editor -> graphics -> wads. Open a wad. (I personally picked settomb.tr4) Do not do anything. On the right hand side, open the wad outfit you want to add. Copy everything in the wad to the original. 4. Then, once you're done copying, save the original WAD. (I would save to settomb.tr4) Wait, we're not done yet. Use tom2pc.exe in the TRLE folder and rebuild the level. Part II: Adding the Outfit to Tomb Raider: The Last Revelation. We're going to need a new tool. Although I said fexmerger was kind of crappy, download it. Here is where you also get a choice. You can use either two of the following tools: - Fexmerger: Faster to mod, causes bugs. or you can download TRViewer... - TRViewer - Will not open files modded with Fexmerger, slower to mod, higher quality work. Just for this post, I'll show you how to mod with Fexmerger. 1. Open Fexmerger. Then, open your source file. (It'll be the level you rebuilt) 2. Open the target file. (The Last Revelation level file you want to mod) You can find the The Last Revelation level files under the game directory and clicking data. 3. Check all of the items you need to transfer to the new level file. (Click the items on the left side) You should click anything that has to do with Lara and weapons. Once you're done checking the boxes, press Merge. Once everything turns out OK, save the file. (If you cannot use the outfit, this is because fexmerger did not save it. Although it'll say it did, you need to run it as an administrator.) Once you've done that, try testing the level. (I'd start with settomb1.tr4. This is the first level. I highly recommend settomb1.tr4. Since you will not be able to load saves you made with unmodded levels, start with the first levels and keep on going.) Part III: Notes Now that you have outfits and weapons in TR4, there are some things I need to point out. - You cannot mod young Lara with an adult Lara outfit. Adult Lara has one braid, while young Lara has two pigtails. The new outfit for young Lara has to have two pigtail sockets. - Not all outfits are compatible with TR4. Even when playing a new game, outfits can cause the game to crash. This is because they set a stupid restriction on vertices of 255. If the outfit exceeds those, it cannot be used. - If you get glitched textures, try modding the level again with Fexmerger. - Do not always try to merge only Lara's skin joints, skin, hair, and scream. If the outfit uses new hands, when drawing a weapon, the model will look ugly and have issues. Merge the Lara gun animations and the holsters. Also, if you want new weapons to show up, you have to merge those too. (They're in the same level file...) Stay modding, my friends. Last edited by Acacea; 21-02-17 at 18:03. I think this is a great idea, Acacea! Today I think I might add an outfit to The Last Revelation and post it here.

Annl has also done TR4 modding, adding new outfits and more HD textures. Three threads I could find: http://www.tombraiderforums.com/showthread.php?t=212207 http://www.tombraiderforums.com/showthread.php?t=189189 http://www.tombraiderforums.com/showthread.php?t=189189 Quote:
I only know about graphics enhancing mods like Annl's. |

Also, I'm making a project that adds new animations and an AOD Lara outfit, as well as AOD sounds. It currently include the AOD Lara outfit by -TRANGEL-, as well as sprint jump, new sfx, new running/walking, and that's all for now. |

I've added a video that currently shows some features of my mod.
https://youtu.be/N733LjnllqE Anyway, if you'd like to see it complete, please do the following. Download TREP. Run it for the first time. Look how it created a .cfg file. Open it. Please add the original tomb4.exe into the .cfg file (The Last Revelation exe) And then, please send my the original tomb4.exe |
