Underworld had all sorts of different version's of the game to suit the technical specs of each console and the PC.
At the time I had an old PC (win95) and could not play Underworld on it, due to the specs. So bought the PS2 version and dug out my old Playstation 2 console. The PS2 was very poor indeed, with poor graphics and hardly any monsters in it, in fact I remember just running through endless corridors of nothing. The Pc version, when i eventually bought a new computer) was visually superior and had the monsters The same went for Xbox and all the other consoles, some had longer levels and more areas added, all to do with the conoles specifications, so it could handle the game. There was also subtle differences in the AI between games, and here is one major difference, in the swing hammer rooms the PS2 version was superior over the PC version (and I expect some other consoles, due to the swing hammer having 'inertia'. On the PC Lara could only climb on top of half a hammer and had no inertia, and gameplay was rather dull, but on the PS2 Lara could climb all over the hammers and jump with inertia of the hammer with her or opposing to her, to cancel it out, making the game far more enjoyable....... Here are the actions she could do on the PS2, which were far superior than the PC version..... |

The only one I think there is Lara's hair reflection. It reacts to light in a very realistic manner in the 360 version, the shine follows the way her hair is tied like real hair would, but in the PS3/PC the shine is just kinda opaque and washed out.
