Häufige Probleme - Frequently Made Mistakes

Wenn Blender beim Import oder Export eine Warnung zeigt, dann bedeutet dieses ein Problem (Fehler) für XNALara. Ich werde hier ein Inhaltsverzeichniss auf die häufigsten Fehler erstellen.


If the import or export script in Blender displays a warning, it means this is a problem (error) for XNALara. I will make here a Table of contents to the most common mistakes.

XNALara, it stops working before it even starts.


1. Warning Message: Non Triangular Faces
2. Error Message: Sequence Index must be Integer, not 'str'
3. Die Texture erscheint in XNALara auf der falschen Seite des Meshes - Texture on the wrong side
4. Das Modell hat in XNALara die falsche Grösse - The MOD have a wrong size
5. Error Message: list.index(x): x not in list How i can fix the BUG
6. The MOD are invisible, only the bones are visible - Ein Meshpart ist in XNALara unsichtbar, nur die Knochen sind zu sehen - or http://3d.tombraider.gr/troubleshooting_black_model.htm or7. "AttributeError: this mesh contains no deform vertices."
8. Blender remove some bones - Tip by Ol.a My Tip: ==> Use the new Blender importer version 1.4 or read "How can I add a missing bone"

9. The model is half above the ground and half below the floor. - Was kann ich machen, wenn das Modell "im Boden" verschwindet?

10. XNALara model has wrong texture or no texture -- Die Texture wird nicht wie gewünscht dargestellt.

11. XNALara -- Loading model '...mesh' failed. Could not find file '.....lara_jungle_shorts.mesh'

12. Some parts a hidden -- or GeMeshAsciiToBin stop working -- or wrong mesh part name

Problem: XNALara erlaubt beim .mesh Format nur Dreiecke. - Problem: XNALara allows for the .mesh format only triangles.


Lösung: <Strg> und <T> Wandele alles zu Dreiecken - Solution: Convert all Quads to Triangles <Ctrl> <T>

1. Wechsle zum Edit Modus (Kurztaste <Tabulator> - Switch to Edit Mode (hotkey <Tabulator>
2. Selektiere alles (Taste <A> solange drücken bis alle Flächen leuchten - Select all (Shortcut <A>)
3. Drücke die Tasten <Strg> und <T> für Mesh->Faces->ConvertQuadsToTriangles - Hit <Ctrl> <T>)

First try this:
Export the model again


Versucht als erstes folgendes:
Einfach das Modell noch einmal exportieren Ignoriert also einfach die Fehler-Meldung "Sequence Index must be Integer, not 'str'" und wählt noch einmal den Menüpunkt File-->Export-->MeshAsciiExt
Kontrolliert nun die Konsole. Meistens löst der erste erfolglose Export Versuch das Problem von alleine



Problem: Das Skelett wurde verändert und ist nun für XNALara unbrauchbar. XNALara erwartet Knochen in einer Baumstruktur. Nur eine Wurzel (root bone). Jeder Elternknochen muss in der .mesh.ascii Datei vor den Blättern stehen. Also:
Code:
Wurzel (Kein Parent)
Oberschenkel (hängt an dem Wurzelknochen)
Unterschenkel (hängt am Oberschenkel)
Fussgelenk (hängt am Unterschenkel)
usw.
Nicht:
Code:
Wurzel (Kein Parent)
Unterschenkel (hängt am Oberschenkel) ==> Fehlermeldung list.index(x): x not in list
Oberschenkel (hängt an dem Wurzelknochen)
Fussgelenk (hängt am Unterschenkel)

Problem: The skeleton is changed and now useless for XNALara. XNALara expected bone in a tree structure. Only one root (root bone). Each parent bone must be written in the .mesh.ascii file before the leaves bones. So:
Code:
Root (no parent)
Thigh (parent Root)
Knee (parent are the thigh bone)
ankle (parent are Knee)
etc.
: Not
Code:
Root (no parent)
Knee (depends on the Thigh) ==> error list.index (x): x not in list
Thigh (hang on the bones)
ankle (parent knee)


Check the Armature in Blender oder notepad:

10 root bones !! Knochen ohne Eltern - Bones without parent bones

Lösung: - Solution:
Für alle Knochen ohne Eltern (bis auf einen) , im Button-Wondow ein passendes Parent auswählen. Exportieren. Falls jetzt nocheinmal die Fehlermeldung auftaucht, einfach nocheinmal File->Export auswählen. Dieses ist kein BUG des Skriptes. Es ist ein Feature.

For all the bones without parents (except one), choose in the Button Window a suitable parent. Export again. If now the error message appears again, again simply select again File-> Export. This is not BUG of the script. It is a feature.

Problem: Wenn Back-face culling eingeschaltet wurde, erscheint die Texture auf der falschen Seite des Modells. Texture on the wrong side, by back-face culling setting on

Lösung: Vertauscht die Normalen in Blender - [COLOR="Dark Red"]Solution Recalculate normal outside with Blender[/COLOR]

Benützt im Edit Mode von Blender entweder <Strg> <N> berrechne Aussenseite oder <W> für flip (tausche) Normale.
