Thank you, finally some clarification about the footsteps sounds!
So, basically we could solve the problem if we reassign sound Id 289 and the Marble sounds to their correct original function (I believe Core just scrapped them because they already knew there was not going to be any Ice and Snow in Egypt, duh).
And it could be a working solution too, because we can just reassign the HORSE_NEIGH sound to some other slot and change it in the Play Sound of the Horse Slot in WadMerger, while Marble Sounds... well, they're not that different from general stone sounds after all.
I'll think about this. Thanks again for the clarification.

I don't know yet a public release date but I'm near a first beta stage. Now I'm focusing on the import of old TRLE PRJ files, so we can test the editor with real, complex levels
