Oh no, just put some effects on the ground with negative intensity and yellow color (the opposite of yellow is blue). Just use the color palette to find the color that matches best.

Really feels nice to me. My only complaint would be that the shine effect is too intense, it doesn't really look like wood that way.

I'll darken the room underneath a bit more, I'm just testing some TRNG features in TR1 like weather and mirrors

Actually, I don't think it's too intense. Wooden floors can be quite reflective when sanded, polished and varnished, see here:
