I imagine Voldemort would have seen no value in having a descendancy anyway, given that he felt he was immortal and invincible with his horcruxes.

Warner Bros. Reveals Harry potter Global brand management
More potter related stuff coming it seems so expect a lot more goodness to come in terms of merchandise, also update on Fantastic Beasts, it starts filming in January and they have a director in mind so I expect an announcement in coming months. |

If yates wouldn't have directed that fantastic beasts movie the only other director i would've prefered would be Alfonso Cauron.

I am fine with either Alfonso or Yates surprisingly the fandom is very divided over the news about Yates a lot of them want a new director but Yates is perfectly capable and a safe choice. He made the highest grossing films in the Harry Potter franchise and kept intact a close team that made the movies and JK Rowling has said her favourite films came from Yates so they are in safe hands. Atleast the overall look and sound of the film will be cohesive even if it is in a different Era.
The only problem I had with some of Yates' movies were that they seemed too modernised at certain times however he always handled the action and magic well and had some nifty cinematography after playing Order of the Pheonix safe with the colour palette and music he chose to explore the look and feel of the films in subsequent installments the themes of the music were richened by Hooper and Alfonso and he created a look for the films the castle was more gloomy and bleak with harsh grays and dark blacks. He handled the beasts well too creating Thestrals, giants, house elves and more for his films altering much of the look of the creatures until they fit his vision. |
