1:1 remake means TR2 assets. So no new models, HD textures or whatever.
At least that's my idea of a 1:1 remake.

Surely adding new textures, models, etc will be interesting to play.
Like with the Glidos stuff for TR1. The game looks so different with the custom textures.


Have you ever played custom levels?
If not, then I think you should. Lots of new stuff, compared to the original games, in a lot of them.

I did not play levels created by TRLE.

In terms of playing refreshed classic parts without any changes. Many people were looking for a way to play TR 1 with HD textures from Tombraiderxtra or textures HD iOS. At first, it was only possible with Glidos. Currently, it is possible without Glidos thanks to Tombati. Many people also wanted to play TR II with HD iOS texturas. They are not complete. And there is a lot less progression than TR 1.
Many people are waiting for the TR4HD project with HD "Roli" textures.

Many people were disappointed when Square Enix blocked Realtech release on Pc TR 1,2,3 with HD texturas, in 60 frames.
Probably they would also add shadows and 64-bit support.
As you can see for a classic refresh, there are many who are willing.

Yes. I know a lot about your project.
TR II transferred to the TR 4 engine.
New textures. New effects. A larger view range.
New moves that appeared only in TR 3,4,5.
The new Lara model. New animations.
New room decorations. New surroundings objects.
Refreshed cutscenes. Rebuilt levels. New levels:
St. Mark, Venetian Librares, Escape from Maria Doria,
Bartholi's Train, Escape with the Talion.
It makes a huge impression. I know that you originally planned to finish the project at the end of 2016, but you need more time for ambitious plans.

Chandeliers in Bartholi Hideout look divine. Also new paintings in the corridor at the Venice stage or the wallpaper in the corridor at the Opera House level
The Venetian section and the deep-sea with the Wreck Maria Doria they have the greatest potential in this field
In the depths, especially levels - Wrack Maria Doria and Living Quarters.
I did not see too much Croft Manor as it looks in the middle of a library or paintings.
Here you did not betray too much

It remains to wish good luck in the pursuit of purpose and perseverance, because it looks very good in demos, gameplay or trailers

Sorry. I have not noticed this possibility before.


I played again in the demo 2 "Tomb Raider Anniversary II" yesterday. This demo is from 3 years ago so probably these levels later had many improvements. I rate it at 8.5

As for the design of the site and new rooms, objects, decorations, traps, I like them. I only had a small problem in two places.
Great wall - to jump to the lever, where there was a pole.
I did not know how to get there. But when hanging on the wall, it was enough to press up and down at the same time.

Venice - where there is a button to open the gate to the end of the level Lara has a problem with entering and lingers on too high ground. He is not going to get a gun because he does not get up on his feet, so it's easy to be killed by the enemy.
It's much easier to get there with a motorboat.

It's best to just go there by motorboat. Do not try to influence Lara there without a motor boat.

I have a big problem in the demo.
At the "Great wall" level, the records worked.
However, at the "Venice" level they do not work.
No matter where he writes.
It always crashes to the desktop when you try to load from Venice.
I have to pass the whole level without death.
From what I read in the older thread in opinions, no one had such a problem with demo 2. Strange.
Earlier in 2015, I did not happen so that the records for
Venice would not work.
Anyone have any ideas? Anyone had such a bug?

I will try to I will download this demo from scratch and
play from "New Game" and see if it will be like that again.

Retrieving demo 2 and starting a new game solved the problem.
Now there are records on both Great wall and Venice. Cool.
The atmosphere at the Venice level is great.
I found 5 out of 6 secrets.

Not only a remake of the first level, but you get also a full new level. Enjoy!

there are 2x3 normal dragon secrets
and 15 extra secrets - read the note in inventory for some extra info

As for the full release... there is no date yet, sorry, this became a very ambitious project and is always improved...

Haha, I love how vibrant the levels are! Really enjoying it so far, but I’m stuck at the area where the new Great Wall part where the flyby is at. If I could get a PM of what to do next, that’s be helpful.
