Not sure how keyboard hotkeys are related to mousewheel, but yes, next release will also have this option

^ THIS. It would have been great if once you import a room you could just disable original geometry without texturing it with invisible texture.

Imported room meshes replace a room's traditional geometry mesh at compilation stage, from the traditional geometry only the collision is used.
