I'm so incredibly excited to see were this story goes I have a feeling none of us are expecting it to be as related to the Potterverse as we think it will.

So, did anyone else catch the live fan event? There was an announcement made that there will be five Fantastic Beasts movies. They also talked a little bit about the involvement of Dumbledore and Grindelwald in the story. They had the stars of the film on stage and Jo herself showed up.
I'm a bit sceptical over the five movies and whether it's milking the franchise too much. Though I guess Jo must have so much wizarding world material that they feel it's justified. I guess we'll see. Last edited by Rai; 13-10-16 at 20:27. |

Am I the only one who don't care for the beasts series despite I'm a big Potter fan?
as for five films...wonder is the same case as the the hobbit? Three long films on one book. |

Well it's obvious at this stage that this is a true prequel to the Potter films JK Rowling talked about the story they are "really" telling on Twitter, seems to me we are going to move away from Beasts and move into serious Dumbledore territory, Fantastic Beasts is simply just masquerading as part of a wider story set in the First Wizarding War.
Loving the new featurette with what looks like the Glimpse of Grindlewald. Last edited by Tonyrobinson; 14-10-16 at 13:29. |

Id doubt JK Rowling will allow the filmmakers to rape her source material like how Peter Jackson raped the Hobbit

New rumour (I stress this is a rumour and definitely not confirmed) is that Tom Hardy will be playing Grindlewald.

They showed the opening at the IMAX event and people are saying it basically has a lot of references to previous films and HP lore. It's also supposed to be very fast paced, action driven and dark with some of Yates' style retained.
