These alien critters can be a bit pushy

Video screenshot (now at 2.45 minutes of video made, another 9 minutes to make, which should be within the catacombs, phew)....

Default Within the Catacombs

Without giving to much of the storyline away, and some really interesting modifications which I do not want to mention yet, Lara enters the catacombs and finds areas where the sky can be seen, but not reached...

RE-EDITED: This Cavern room is a 'work in progress' and has had further changes made to it to suit the story, as I have now reached here. Also 'Baddies' on central platform are censored to hide visuals.
(Do not want to spoil it to much for you )

This sky opening was made using 3D meta to remake the upper walls and build four towers, and remove some of the roof meshes of room 26, which is normally totally underground...

I also re-textures some parts of the catacombs for fun

Lara is having a bit of a nightmare seeing 'Chi' everywhere

Default Animation of clapping aliens (see 5.15 onwards in final video)

You seem to be the only one commenting again Peeves, thanks

Though there has been nearly 600 quietly watching. Come on guys any questions or comments on the making of the video, or tools used?

ANIMATION....

This is my favorite tool when I cannot get characters to do something due to the limitations of the TR game engine animations. It is also useful as a link between video segments, to tie them up.

STORYLINE...
In this next part of the video in the deep catacombs, Lara comes across a hypnotic song that makes everyone clap and dance. (its better than fighting 200 aliens, yes!, Did you say No!, you blood thirsty lot)

HOW ITS DONE....
Or, how it is going to be done, as I have just started this task.....

Using window movie maker, whose fastest frame by frame speed is 0.08 seconds, I am running this sequence a bit slower at 0.12 seconds, to be seen better, So that's around 8 frames (individual pictures) per second. Not brilliant but its OK for videos of mine.

For animation not to look like animation it has to be around 24 frame per second or over, to trick the eye, but that means a massive amount of frames (individual pictures). Far too much work for me, as I am lazy....

One way of speeding up animation making, is duplication using sequence loops, (I do that here) and then using the original sequence within a second sequence, (the video shows you this).

For this section of video, I intend to have four sequences eventually all running to create loads of aliens running in and then clapping and dancing.

METHOD USED....
The four animated sequences may take days to build up. First you make the sequence shown in this video, then add this to the second sequence of frame by frame aliens running in, then clapping, I then take that second sequence and make it slightly smaller in scale as its lower down in the lower chamber and double it to create more aliens, then add all this to the above sequences. Then finally add two aliens to the foreground, No wonder this video is taking a long while to make. (This musical interlude of clapping aliens should only cover around 30+ seconds of video) Phew!

NOTE: The only problem I have, is how I am going to get Lara out of this hypnotic dance

RE-EDITED...Video removed as final video now out.
