What have they done to my beloved series?

Murphy's screams are hilarious. OMG. Sounds like a girlish shriek at times!

Haha yeah I was cracking up when The Void comes after him for the first time. Same deal when goes down the makeshift waterslide. That section was pretty annoying though because the last thing I expected to see was spike pits.

The music and the atmosphere are solid, though I can't say I find it very creepy at all. There's no real sense dread bubbling beneath the surface...yet.
It's a shame because I just had another moment where the game hiccuped, froze, and somehow turned Murphy around facing the opposite direction. And it's not just restricted to outdoor areas because this happened inside. I hope a patch is released or something because if it keeps occurring in the future, it might just start getting on my nerves.

Yeah, I just passed that area a while ago. His shrieks killed the tension. LMAO. But yeah, the spikes caught me off guard too. But I really liked that. That's one thing the series definitely needs, more unique ways to die!

EDIT: This game is hard! Those giant crawling monsters are a pain in the ass. Just had a scare where I was in the Cavern of Tears and I turned on the radio to listen to some relaxing music and BAM! Giant monster landed right on top of me. And I had just healed myself a few seconds earlier. D:

Yeah it's getting on my nerves already since it seems to be more frequent in certain areas. And this is after a long delay too, I would hate to have seen how the thing was running back in November. Definitely jarring I hope they can do something to improve it.

No clue why you are saying that. It's getting decent reviews and old fans are loving it.

Didn't get Downpour like planned. My friend bailed out on me. So I am going today to get it myself.

Gamespot Review 7,5

From side quests to sound design, Silent Hill: Downpour isn't afraid of change. The result is a captivating game more expansive than the series has ever seen.
EDIT: **** already posted like 3 pages back

Yeah. Get with the program Lukas.

Just read the GameInformer review. They say it's not scary like Dead Space. Yeah....Dead Space wasn't scary so I don't trust them on that.
