Well they only talked about it for the Mexico section. Remember all the nice looking horizons.. they would change over time and completely random rain would come down and mayeb 10 min later it would be gone.
I dont know why they deleted it. It was a very neat thing |

Fans speculating about weather systems does not mean the developer was ever going to put a weather system in the game. We saw how they were using the weather to set the tone for each level, obviously the weather was important and probably never meant to change that much. The early pre-alpha sceenshots matched pretty well what we got in the final game as to weather effects, so it never changed that much. It does not always rain in Mexico, even in the final game.
