Disable Lara's movements
Hey everyone
I was wondering if it is possible via the script or something else to disable some of Lara's movements, like jumping or crouching (For my purposes I only need to disable jumping). I already tried to do something with the script, but it didn't work at all.^^' Sometimes it's very difficult for me to understand the script entirely, so I always depend on some tutorials for specific things, but for this purposes I didn't find anything yet. Hope someone can help me out Thanks in advance Marlena |

You can manually remove the links to her jumping animations in WadMerger's AnimationEdit, that will remove her ability to perform them.
That should involve getting rid of the links in her standing, running, and sliding animations (and their transitions). I think those are the only default ones from which she can begin to jump. I disabled crawling and sprinting in a TR1 styled project with this method. |

Thanks, wow, I haven't thought, that it would be that easy.
But I still wonder, if it would be possible with the script, so I'm curious if anyone has an idea about that. ^.^ |

You can disable certain keys with scripting. However I don't know if the script that does that allows for functionality or just the keys themselves. So if you were to disable ALT to get rid of jumping, and the player rebound it to SPACE in the Control Configuration, she might still be able to jump. But if you disabled KEY1_JUMP, it might disable it completely.
TRNG scripting confuses me though so wait for someone more experienced to come along an confirm. |

Omg, there IS a flipeffect for keyboard disabling. I remember, because I already used this feature a long time ago.
Thanks you two. |

I was going to say, what if you used a conditional GT to determine if Lara is on land or in water? That way, you only disable the jump key if you're not in water.
