I've discovered a way for Lara to choose between using two different methods opening the same lock - key, or puzzle item, while Lara is on the same square.

As of right now, I have two different keys, and they're fully capable of opening a lock when Lara's done. Sort of like a skeleton key, and a normal key.

I think adding the option of a crowbar could also be possible if I tell the tell the game to play specific animations for the door.

Since it's very easy, I'll write a tutorial. Pictures will have to added later in the day.

Adding it in shouldn't be very long. It's mostly a single frame animation check and the deletion of two (or more) key/puzzle holes.

More fun features from my test level - I figured out how to create a weapon that can be reloaded from the inventory. It doesn't use any variables, but it comes at the cost of using puzzle items for each slot you want to use.

Very simple code:

TriggerGroup=		101, $2000, 50, $f5D, $2000, 49, $0, $2000, 70, $1F09			; Set PISTOL_AMMO_ITEM to 15, remove PUZZLE_ITEM1, play SFX #9 (LARA_RELOAD)
For the shotgun, I recommend checking if Lara has zero ammo loaded for both ammo types, and you just select which type in the inventory. Same applies to the grenade launcher and the crossbow.

I appreciate the compliment!

However, I have nothing going on, except taking a break from Battle Arena until the competition is finished. After that, prepare for a ton of assets.

I was thinking about whether it was possible to aim+shoot+kill at other players in the multiplayer mod by jack, which I think would have taken the battle arenas to a whole new level. I'll wait and see if he can make any of it happen
