Building suggestions for open sea
I´m doing the last level and try to build a nice looking area with view to the open sea, something like a bay/ shore. I tried for two days now but nothing was really good ..
the prob is that you need at least 3 full NGLE fields of water room just for the look, but Lara must be able to dive/ swim in it. Of course there is the possibility to do just an pure underwater area.. cheers |

Maybe make 2 big rooms with strong currents towards the sea and when lara gets to a certain distance end the level ?

You can also trick the player s eye by using unskipable camera angles, for example if Lara gets close the the poin where you can see the end of the map, make the camera look in the opposite way

You could always ''teleport'' Lara (using a flipeffect) which would work like a sink object.
Player swims so far and then teleports magically several squares back. Legend did this in its bike sections at times. Of course, Lara wouldn't gain any distance (say if she left a piece of island, she would not get any further away) But it could work from a gameplay perspective. Or just use lots of strong sinks and currents.. If your really inventive, you could force an animation of a shark killing her when she hits a certain point?? |
