Why lightining is so hard?
As the title says im really newbie about lightining and for me it's really hard,there are some trles that i play and i see good lightining and idk how to do it so i came here to ask some tips,i already saw the tutorials but i think i need more info...

Quick Tips:
The key is to have a very dark Ambient Color (because this is the color of your shadows) and a contrasty brighter Sun Color. For accentuations I put soft lights on walls and floors that have ivy or leaves. |

I literally just use a dark ambience and add few suns of different colours (that fits the environment) to add some contrasts
but yea, tr-freak said it right. |

I think lighting is the coolest part of designing levels!
I also recommend the tutorials suggested by Kapu, the first one has a couple of very useful tricks to get certain moods in the level! |
