I wouldn't mind Joss Whedon directing it. I think he should work on the screenplay as well though.

I think it's a fan boy dream of Brian's HOWEVER Brian Horton has collaborated with Joss Whedon on Buffy comics and Marti Noxon also has that connection so maybe they could pull some strings.

If you can honestly look at Perdita Weeks in As Above So Below and tell me she wouldn't make a great Lara, I think I'll have to reevaluate your sanity.

Here are some quick (poorly made) edits as well.

Also, found this cheeky little article!

She would be very nice. She's not too old either, 28 is imo okay to pass for a 21 year old. You have to remember that the second film in the reboot Lara will be far more mature. Although I must say, by the time they get round to shooting she might be perhaps a tad too old. I'm not expecting filming this year so probably in another 2 years and she'll be 30. I also would rather her hairstyle was a bit darker and straighter.

The pictures I have seen of Perdita Weeks doesn't convince me tbh.

I went to see the movie and she is essentially Lara Croft the movie feels like a Tomb Raider flick. I am sick of the shakey camera though it's probably the closest thing we are getting to a Tomb Raider film any time soon.

Yeah, I'm really looking forward to seeing this. Hopefully I will get to do so next week. It will also be easier to make up an opinion on Perdita Weeks when actually seeing her act in a film.

Odette Yustman looks almost exactly like Reboot Lara:

The past two nights I have dreamt about there being news released on this movie then I wake up and get super annoyed.

The main problem at play is hat Graham King is suffering to find funds for his films after his main investor quit the company due to massive losses of multi million pounds. He is seeking other people to now team up with and finance his films and MGM alone isn't the most reliable people to partner with, unless they attract other companies then I would say the future of the franchise will depend on the success of The 5th Wave movie which releases in 2016, even then if it is a success the production companies will probably turn to sequels for it before anything else. I don't expect a Tomb raider movie until 2017 at the earliest, filming won't start in 2014 and if it is looking for a 2015 release the deadline is getting cut very short unless they mean to film by Spring and release in Winter but with no director attached that won't happen anytime soon.

If Joss Whedon were to direct the movie I'd probably jizz in my pants tbqh.

I'd also be expecting a Buffy Crossover .
