I agree.

The crappy thing is that if this reboot fails, there will be even less of a chance of an actually good reboot. And if it succeeds, they'll carry on with the ugly redesign/style.

I have a feeling that both this and the upcoming Charmed reboot are going to tank, though.

Don’t like it? Don’t watch. LOL.

What’s creepy are all these right-wingers on twitter trying to make it about SJWs & feminists. Why can’t people stop being weirdos.

I'm sure people won't. Doesn't mean they can't express their dislike/disappointment.

And leftists are trying to make it about misogyny and homophobia. It goes both ways.

I find it "weirdo" in the first place that people are projecting adult insecurities onto childrens' characters, by making them unappealingly genderbent and unrecognisable as the sex they're supposed to be/be primarily marketed towards.

The logic does go both ways.

Saying that she looks like a teenage boy in drag is actually sexist & toxic

I personally find that deflecting any criticism by throwing labels around and/or saying men aren't allowed to have an opinion is way more toxic and sexist than claiming that the new design looks boyish compared to the original, which it certainly does.
Most criticism of the art style/redesign gets met with "Reeee! Disgusting men want to sexualize our cartoons!!", although it has nothing to do with the problems a lot of people have with it AND it's not just guys who are disappointed.

Doesnt look as awful as the Thundercats thing so i will give it a shot.

She-ra was constantly talked about to be revived/rebooted for years...nice to see that this finally starts.
No matter if it will be good or bad, the important thing is that the project is off the shelf...this means new projects can be planned and tried.

Lets see what this one does, its good to bring something like this into the new age where you can do a lot of interesting stuff with it.

I really don't get why everything is being rebooted nowadays, especially stuff from the 80s.

Those shows already exist. I can go back to them anytime I want. I'd much rather see new and original TV shows like Steven Universe or Star Vs The Forces Of Evil. All these reboots are starting to wear on me.
