Not counting the fishes, for obvious reasons: was this ark big enough to house about sixty thousand vertebrates? |

im not too exicted, as there is no real proof.
how many times have we been dissappointed when crazy people claim to have found Big Foot's body, Jesus' tomb, or Joan Rivers' original face? Countless times, and each time, it turns out that these people were bold-faced liars, or were too sudden to make such claims. |

I hear it travels through alternate dimensions, and across the galaxies; always trying to never be in the same place for too long, for it is a wanted face, and every known living thing is after the bounty that accomadates this legendary and mythological creation.
on a less serious note, dont get your hopes up; because it might just be a publicity stunt. |

this is kinda off topic but how did mankind keep alive? since there were both males and females of all animals in the ark but just a male from humans (noah)

I would assume that since his wife, his sons and their wives were mentioned in the account, that that is how mankind kept alive.

Noah had a wife and 3 sons who also had wives.
The bible doesn't say it came to rest on Mt Ararat, but on the mountains of Ararat. So it could be anywhere in that region. And it wouldn't need to hold that many animals. Many animals are related, and can easily be bred from each other. Only the ancestors of all modern species would be necessary. And some of the animals could have been babies, others could have been eggs, etc. And people overlook the fact that the ark had 3 stories. Sure, it would have been a tight fit, and it would have stunk like hell. But it would be possible to do. |

Well, maybe the Bible story was inspired by some real-life occurrence and duly exaggerated. It wouldn't be too much of a stretch to imagine.
On the other hand, maybe they've just come across Bigfoot's garden shed or something. |

It's my understanding that several cultures have an "ark" story. Perhaps God spoke to more than one person and asked them to save animals. It would spare Noah from having to worry about non-regional animals.
Back when I was a kid a movie came out called The Search for Noah's Ark. It was about looking for it on Ararat. |
