Yeah , I can view this as one flaw of the crafting system , and crafting when you're as far as possible from any living thing is obviously much better , but then again , I'm used to such game-y stuff such as not being able to strip any dead body from every useful item as a game rule , therefore it stopped being a rather big problem for me for a while now .

Yes, I'm used to it too in games and usually just block these kind of things out of my mind otherwise you ruin the game. But I do think they could get a little bit smarter with it in TR. Although personally I hope we can start crafting other things - instruments / items for solving tombs and accessing buildings, etc - maybe have some more variety.
