QFT. I seriously couldn't agree more.

One other reason why I think TRC is the worst of the classics - WAY too many cutscenes, many of which are WAY TOO DAMN long. Seriously. Speaking of which, I will never understand why did they leave the brilliant formula from TR1-3 and made the cutscenes unskippable in TR4 and TRC. Longass unskippable cutscenes are NEVER a good idea.

EDIT: Oh yes, and Zip. The VCI tech is my favourite section of the game, but I still hated the guts of it because dear Zip just couldn't shut up for a single moment. >:O

Actually I think he's quite quiet in the second half of Escape with the Iris and in Red alert. It's 13th floor where he just can't STFU.

I'm actually enjoying the cutscenes
I have now completed the Russia levels and I loved it! I'm in the level Labrinth now and I can't wait to resume playing this fantastic adventure tomorrow!

Oh they're quite alright for a first time playthough. For a repeated one...not so much.

TR6 also had unskippable cutscenes as well ie Tomb of Ancients, Aquatic Research Area etc.

The only unskippable "cutscenes" in AOD were flybys (which are unskippable in every TR), and those with dialogue options.

I don't remember no unskippable flybys in TR1-3.

*sigh*...that's because there weren't any flybys in TR1-3 in general. I obviously meant they are unskippable in every TR game in which they actually are.
