Progress on Lara's face:
I keep learning more & more about Lara's face. I'm currently tweaking the high-poly mesh to make things look more accurate. Her face is a wee bit gaunt. She'll need more width to her face around the edges of her eyes because I was somewhat using TR1-3 references, and when they fill her in with more polygons in 4 & 5, her face gets a little bit fuller. Though technically this is meant to be a generic Lara or TR2... Quote:

It's really like... good. Like... aligned well.
The topology on my Lara face is a little weird around her cheeks (not even going to mention the ears ). edit: Lara is eyeballess... Anyone know how to do eyeballs like this? Her eyes don't seem like spheres in these pics. I'm trying to avoid this: http://*****************/images/goodie...5/screen44.jpg edit: Like... how do they fit so well... into her face in those pics edit: her ears are way too big who did that? dfghjsdf Last edited by larafan25; 30-04-18 at 00:32. |

@larafan25: Your Lara is coming along nicely, as for the eyes, if you're planning on using this Lara in UE4, you should just use Epic's own eyeball mesh since that's been designed to work with UE4's built-in eyeball shader. If you want to use it for renders and the like inside Maya/3DS Max/etc., I'm pretty sure that there'll be tutorials online. In any case, I do think that these are spheres, just very large spheres so you only actually see a small portion of them and the rest is hidden inside her head.
One other note I have is that her eyebrow shape looks a bit overdone. The upwards arch towards the outer ends could be toned down a bit and still maintain that typical classic Lara shape . |

About the eyebrows, I agree, I think I got my eyebrow reference from a picture where her brows were raised, and not relaxed. The picture is an amalgamation of stuff, but I assume I got the eyebrows from here: http://*****************/images/goodie...5/screen60.jpg She looks really angry. I'll use another, more neutral reference for her eyebrows. Thnxx! I've been smoothing out the shapes more to make her look like the renders. Her head tends to be very... wide at the front. It's a weird shape. |
