I have read all the script carefully and my final conclusion is...
This could have been a great movie about the franchise. Lara is deeply more fleshed out, she's a positive character but not a perfect one, she had fears, she fails sometimes. We she her as a proper archeologist, she had knowledge too. We can see some references from the games but minor ones. The vilains are interesting and there's some good twists and the final is good (even if there's maybe a problem with the main monster) But one scene could have left the fans chocked involving her signature hair. There's the scene on the ambassad with the dance with the Pasha who only had 12 years who could have been seems akward but it could be see as a translation of the boys who fantasm over Lara. There's some quotes I like from the script : " I only believe what I experience myself. And when we go down into a tomb, we're not in "our day and age" We're in theirs. After she refuse Alexi embrace : Alexis, I like you. But the guys who like me,they either end up dead or in serious therapy". Last edited by Ellioft; 18-11-17 at 18:21. |

I really liked the script and the idea around the Sheild, however, I didn't like how Lara "found" her parents and it was one of those typical scripts that set things up at the beginning for them to be useful later on.
I really could imagine this being a good, fun movie to watch. It would be fast-paced mind and the twists with the characters were quite fun, yet predictable. I wasn't keen on the character names though... |
